"Getting a job" requires a whole different skill set then "keeping a job."

Some people do really well in the interview, having no problem 'selling themselves' and have the know-how to give a potential employer just what they want to hear so as to successfully land the job.

Do you know your employability strengths and can you speak them with ease and passion? This is where many fall flat, for many reasons. I will tell you that the most common excuse people give for 'holding back' on talking about their strengths is they feel they are crossing the "bragging" line. It's a lame excuse and certainly won't get you to the next level.

Does an employer want to hear from you, such quotes as "... so I am very competent in using that skill effectively!" You can bet your bottom dollar, that's exactly what they want to hear.

These are not typical questions that one needs to address in order to be competent in the workplace, but unfortunately they are typical questions that will be addressed in the Interview process and you need to answer them in a way that convinces an employer that you are the person for the job.

Keeping the job requires an even more challenging skill set.
